    Dive into the exciting world of math in this hands-on workshop! Explore math concepts through interactive games that connect directly to real-world scenarios, from designing a dream park to budgeting for a shopping spree to solving mysteries with math clues.

    Discover the intricate relationship between science and art, and how they inform and inspire each other. You’ll engage in a variety of fun and interactive activities that highlight the dual role of art in communicating scientific concepts and using scientific principles to create art, gaining a deeper understanding of how one can complement the other.

    The show must go on . . . but how? Ever wondered what goes on behind the curtain to make a show come alive? Now's your chance to find out! In this behind-the-scenes class, students will learn the importance of stage management, costuming, managing props, set design and directing. They will discover firsthand what it takes to bring a production to life as they explore the inner workings of theatrical productions.

    Get ready for some fun as you learn how to play lacrosse with Montrose alumna Catherine Bettinelli, Independent Girls Conference All-Star. By the end of the week, you’ll know how to toss a ball, cradle, score goals and more! 

  • “Tech-Stiles” – Crochet a Pixel Blanket (SPACES AVAILABLE)

    A cool new blend of technology and crocheting come together to create a pixelated blanket - each crocheted square is a pixel from your own selected image. Learn what pixelation is, how to work with the images on a computer and the basics of crocheting.

    Discover the wonders of the wetlands! In this class, children will explore the diverse ecosystems of the marshes, and the fascinating creatures that inhabit them. Explore the unique plants and views around the Montrose campus and use them as inspiration for your artwork. Young artists will capture the beauty of wetlands through watercolor painting. Prepare to embark on an inspiring journey where art and nature intertwine, sparking creativity and environmental stewardship in every brushstroke to create beautiful items to bring home.

    Feeling dramatic? Spend the week learning all about musical theater, singing, show-tunes, technology, choreography, acting and more! Through games and exploration, we will have a blast putting together some entertaining snippets of Broadway's best!

    Get ready for the fall field hockey season. This intermediate-level class will help you grow in your skills and prepare you to compete in the fall. You’ll learn the fundamental skills, position specific training and in-game tactical knowledge needed to enhance your game. Taught by Montrose alumna and experienced field hockey veteran Catherine Bettinelli (class of 2021), who played varsity field hockey at Montrose for six years!

    Through fun, hands-on experiments and activities, you’ll be introduced to a variety of STEM fields, including fruit DNA extractions, clay cell modeling, color chromatography, color-changing pH indicators, brain models, edible spinal cords, and field guides!

    Welcome to an exciting journey into the world of mythology and adventure with Percy Jackson! You’ll explore Greek mythology through the lens of Rick Riordan's thrilling novel The Lightning Thief, embarking on an interactive and immersive experience that combines reading, critical thinking, creative activities and collaborative discussions. Through the captivating narrative of Percy Jackson's quest, students will delve into the rich tapestry of Greek mythology, uncovering timeless themes, heroic archetypes, and enduring cultural significance.

    Spend a week learning the best way to organize and put on a small celebration or event. You’ll get to identify a theme of your choice, create invitations, learn table decor and etiquette, create special desserts and a menu of appetizers, and finish the week with a small party to show off all that you've learned! All food will be allergy friendly.

    Welcome to the Namesake Chronicles, an exciting journey through history where you can explore and research historical figures who share your name. In this unique course, students will embark on a personalized exploration of individuals from the past who bear the same name, uncovering fascinating stories, achievements, and legacies. Employing a variety of research strategies the students will delve into archives, biographies, and primary sources on the path of self-discovery and historical exploration that can be presented to the class.

    Want to learn how to play field hockey? No experience needed! You’ll learn how to hold a stick, pass a ball and play fun games from Montrose alumna and experienced field hockey veteran Catherine Bettinelli (class of 2021), played varsity field hockey at Montrose for 6 years! 

  • Singing Masterclass (CLASS IS FULL - waitlist only)

    Ready to take your singing to the next level? Learn foundational vocal techniques for both group settings and individual sessions and how to analyze music for performance. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate all they’ve learned in a small group recital on the last day of the session. Limit 6 students.

With Rose Institute’s Business Leadership camp, students will practice professional communication and entrepreneurship by creating an elevator pitch, perfecting a resume, nailing an interview, and pitching a business idea! Complete with tailored lessons, exercises, games, in-class presentations, and a Shark Tank exercise, this camp is an absolute blast. Prepare for success!

  • Courses are offered for students entering grades 3 and up.

  • Courses meet from 9:30AM-10:30AM and 10:45AM-11:45AM. Students who take both classes will have a 15 minute supervised snack break between classes.
