What Girls Need to Thrive

Empowering Young Women to Reach Their Potential

One of the first 10 schools nationwide to receive the National Schools of Character Award, Montrose was again designated a National School of Character in 2017.

Montrose School has been educating girls for more than forty years. Our purposefully designed curriculum and nationally-recognized character and leadership program are designed to educate and inspire young women. We empower our girls by teaching them the way they naturally learn.

We value the dignity of each young woman and help her to reach her highest potential by developing the strengths of mind and character she needs to navigate the challenges of adolescence and use her freedom well.

At a time when girls’ academic achievement, sense of identity, aspirations and overall well-being are being challenged, Montrose School is countercultural, calling girls to greatness.

Why All Girls?

Eric Bergemann, father of Laura '15, MIT '19

Montrose offers a combination of moral and intellectual seriousness and rigor that few secondary schools match. Our daughter also developed her character in ways that will serve her well throughout her life.
An independent school for girls in grades 6-12 guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church.
