Academic All-American Honors for 3

US Lacrosse honors 3 Mavericks for their athletic skills, sportsmanship and academic achievement.
Sarah Morrill ’15, Elle Schirripa ’15 and Michaela Fleming '16 have been named as US Lacrosse All-Academic honorees.

Only 42 female lacrosse players in all of Eastern Massachusetts qualified for this honor. A US Lacrosse Academic All-American honoree is a player who exhibits exemplary lacrosse skills and good sportsmanship on the field, and who represents high standards of academic achievement in the classroom. US Lacrosse also requires that the player must have left a mark beyond the lacrosse field and the classroom by making significant contributions of service to her school or community.

"Elle, Sarah and Michaela have worked very hard on the field and in the classroom," said Varsity Lacrosse coach Pauline Irwin. "I am sure I can speak for the whole team when I say that we are all proud of them."

"This is a huge honor in a highly competitive process," said Head of School Dr. Karen Bohlin. "We extend our warmest congratulations to Michaela, Sarah and Elle."

In addition, the Boston Globe has cited Michaela, Sarah, Elle and Tyra Alexander '16 as Lacrosse All-Stars in the Independent Girls Conference.
