A Terrific Turkey Trot

Alumnae, current students and families run, raise money for Medfield Food Pantry.

Montrose School celebrated Thanksgiving with the return of a long-ago Montrose tradition, the Turkey Trot run.

On a frigid Saturday morning, dozens of alumnae, current students and family members gathered at the new Arts & Athletics Center to pick up race T-shirts and numbers before kicking off the 5K run/walk. As the race began, runners young and old sprinted ahead on the local Medfield route, followed by walkers and parents pushing strollers. Inside the A&A, Student Government volunteers organized the youngest participants into a “Gobble Wobble” run, followed by games and activities.

Paul Condrin P ‘15, ‘18 was the first male finisher with a winning time of 20:02. Close behind was Katrin O’Grady ‘15, whose time of 20:49 marked her as both the first female finisher and first current student finisher. Stacey Panagotopulos Federico ‘94, the first alumna finisher, followed soon thereafter.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Medfield Food Pantry.

Congratulations to all participants!
